Check out these writers and travelers who have as much passion as i do for getting lost, eating strange food, sleeping in cheap beds and living a full life on the road.
Ron Cruz + Monette Fernandez: Unbelievably funny and tongue in cheek, two backpackers who are as crazy as the other and i love them to bits! First would mistake these two as a cute couple but after hearing “WTF” over and over to convince me that this would never be a possibility i finally digressed. But Ron is a hot nurse based in SG, who i’ve been dying to travel with since i first met– and karaoke’d with, and Monette can drink you to oblivion with only 2 beers (cause she stops counting at the 2nd one)
Ian dela Pena: Amazing photographer and hiker. The ultimate funny man you’d love to hike with. Drains all the mountain air with his “singing” and endless jokes. He shows his amazing talent with the camera in his Interview Videos and like a smooth Atom Araullo, he lets the personalities of his interviewees shine through.
Marky Ramone Go: The Nomad who could travel over the weekend and come to work unscathed, earning the adoration of his many, many, many girl fans. Playing the part of the mysterious wanderer perfectly he writes with a twinge of Emo and peppers it with funny pop culture references.
Eileen Campos: My Blackberry’s soul mate and my striking and absolutely gorgeous editor. Could still remember how she “hired” me for my first writing gig and needless to say i’ve been bugging her ever since. DNA scholar and all around amazing Possibly Pinay, check out her site for tips and tricks on being a sexy, well heeled traveler.
Cedric Solidon : There’s not a day that goes by that i don’t flood with FB chat box with random question, but i think i have good reason. He knows everything! Ranging from camera gears to simple and mundane questions, he’s my wikipedia + google maps combined! Pray that this bad-ass copywriter still finds gratification in blogging because his posts are really entertaining.
Josiah Sicad : All around nice guy who moved to the paradise, Palawan to follow his dreams, and what might that be? The very lucrative science of Agriculture! an IT specialists all of his posts are my research material and a must read before i go out the door.
Kenneth Pornillos: Hands down the best photographer i know. And he does it so well he earns a living- complete with all expense paid travel benefits because of it. I don’t wish to get as good as him, i wish for my travel partner to be just as good as him because i want to be in the picture too! drop by his site and stay for hours on end like i usually do when i browse his amazing work.
AJ Poliquit : If you miss your English Professor then I strongly suggest you visit the TTT, regal as a monarch can be with a touch of Cher’s flamboyance all of his posts commmand attention from every country imaginable. Can you say SEO? No the TTT just has amazingly high-brow content.
Marcos Caratao: Ilonggo’s pride, he once saved my life when i was suffering from near starvation on my way to Bacolod and giving me nothing less than the rare Queen Siopao from Roberto’s, he’s a solo traveler who goes wherever he wants to and shares it in a way that i feel like i was there with him. His IT is complete from the bus schedules, fare and travel time making his blog an indispensable bookmark in my browser.
Doi Domasian: She’s my go-to confidante for all things technical. (Without mentioning of course that she was the one who made Epic Potato in the first place…) Absolutely great writing with her helpful tips all packaged in a search engine friendly site.
Claire Raborar:: Claire’s been all over the Philippines and more! Not done with her numerous backlogs that according to her: About 5 years to finish.
Elal Jane Lasola: Claim to fame is her raspy voice and calling out the attention of both AJ and Melo.
Aleah Taboclaon: Shadowmaster karaoke expert who can outsing Fred Durst any day of the week, provided she gets a bucket of Heinekens first. A purist in solo travel who weaves words while wearing her heart on her sleeve she managed to catch a Beiber-like cult following.
Pinoy Adventurista: Mervs is an IT Master and the go to helpdesk for many Philippine travelers, he’s the most patient and down-to-earth guy you’ll ever have the pleasure of sharing a beer and cigarettes with.
Catherine Iblan: Gorgeous blogger/ Nurse who loves beaches. It makes me wonder why she chose rainy UK as her homebase for now but it provides her the excellent jump-off point for many dreamy European cities.
Jeffrey Rilles: A senior (not by age, mind you!) travel blogger who is based mostly in the beautiful island of Mindanao.
Melo Villareal: All hail the institution that started it all! Back when i was still a teeny tiny baby he was already blogging about epic out of town trips that oh-yeah landed him 32,+++ fans. Yes. I envyyy him
